Scuba Diving
I have wanted to learn to scuba dive ever since I was 5 years old. I used to watch "Sea Hunt" all the time. I got a mask and fins when I was 6 years old and learned to swim underwater before I could swim on top.
37 years later, I finally got my PADI Open Water certification in 1996. I got my Advanced Open Water certification in Bonaire in 1998 and Rescue Diver later that year. I am currently a Master Scuba Diver (PADI) with specialty certifications in Enriched Air (Nitrox), Diver Propulsion Vehicle, Fish I dentification, AWARE Coral Reef Conservation, Shark Awareness, Certified Shark Feeder, Solo Diver (SDI), Visual Cylinder Inspection (TDI), Regulator Service and Repair (TDI).
I have made over 1,200 dives around the world and met a lot of great friends along the way. On my second trip to Bonaire, in 1998, I met a great group of people who love to dive as much as I do. We formed a dive club that we call The Donkey Divers. We've made a lot more trips together over past two decades and picked up new members along the way.
